Life of an ROTC Cadet

Cadets in the Talon Battalion experience an enhanced college experience. You’ll have the same lifestyle and academic schedule as any other college student and the opportunity to train to be an officer in the world’s greatest Army.

A Week in Army ROTC

In addition to their traditional college responsibilities, Army ROTC cadets have weekly training exercises, ROTC coursework and hands-on instruction.

Physical Training

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Physical training introduces cadets to the Army’s fitness style, ensuring they remain in excellent shape.

ROTC Classes

Tuesday and Thursday
The ROTC curriculum teaches cadets Army history, organization and structure and military law and tactics.

Leadership Lab

Thursday
Cadets get hands-on experience applying the leadership skills and military strategies they learn in class.

Additional Activities

Cadets participate in the Brigade Ranger Challenge, field training exercises, color guard, ROTC Military Ball and intramural sports.
